The cam ensures that the jaws are always parallel, giving you the best grip possible on whatever it is you're trying to grab on to. Traditional single pivot style slip joints only make a few very small points of contact with the fastener, leading to rounded out corners and broken knuckles.

Seven positions on the jaw slide help to keep the handles at a comfortable spacing so you can apply a strong grip. The jaws are smooth so as to not mar your workpiece, and the capacity is 35mm.
