The Repair Stand Tool Tray Collar 1693.16 is the add-a-mount-point accessory that lets a single 1693 series shop stand carry a second tool tray, a parts organizer, or another column-mountable accessory beyond the one mount point the stand ships with. The collar slips onto the upper sliding tube of the stand and locks into position with a quick-release lever, so the second mount can be raised or lowered, repositioned, or removed depending on the day's work.
What it solves
The 1693 series stands ship with mount holes pre-drilled for one tool tray (1693.3-US) on the upright tube. That's enough for most home garages and most one-tool-tray service workflows. The 1693.16 collar is the answer for shops that have grown into a workflow where one tray isn't enough; the second tray takes the bits, the third takes the parts, the fourth takes the rags. The collar mounts each addition at a height and rotation chosen by the mechanic, then locks in place with the QR lever; no drilling, no modification of the stand itself.
How it mounts
Slide the collar onto the upper sliding tube of the stand from the top, position it at the height you want, and lock it down with the quick-release lever. The tool tray (or other accessory) bolts to the collar via the same two-arm mount used on the standard 1693.3-US mount hole pattern. To reposition, release the lever, slide, lock again. To remove, release the lever, slide the collar off the top of the tube.
Compatibility
Fits all Unior 1693 series classic shop stands manufactured after July 2014. That covers the Single Arm Pro Stand, the Double Arm Pro Stand, and the BikeGator portable family. The collar is not used on the 1693EL Electric Repair Stand (which has its own column-mount accessory line; see the 1693EL.2, .3, .5, .6, .7, .9 accessories).

Built in Zreče, Slovenia
Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. The collar is the kind of catalog item that exists because the stand is a long-lived workshop fixture; the workshop grows around the stand, and the stand's accessory load grows with it. The collar lets the stand carry more without requiring drill-and-modify changes to the stand body, which is the practical benefit of buying accessories from the same maker as the stand.
Pro tip from our mechanics
The collar is a low-cost accessory that buys real workflow margin once you're past one tool tray. Shops typically reach for it after twelve to eighteen months with the stand, when the original tray has filled up and the natural next move is to add a second mount surface. The 1693-series stand the collar bolts to is a long-term workshop investment; the buying guide covers the manual-versus-electric and single-versus-double-arm decisions if you're sizing the stand first: How to choose a bike repair stand →
