Files for deburring, shaping and fitting

Three files cover most of what a bike shop files. The flat bastard file knocks the burr off a freshly cut steerer so it seats square in the headset, and squares a cut bolt end. The half-round file has a flat face and a curved face, so one tool cleans both the outside and the inside of a cut steerer or seatpost. The round file reaches into cable ports, small holes and narrow recesses. All three are 200 mm long with a handle fitted, in a bastard cut that is aggressive enough to work quickly and fine enough to leave a surface that needs no second pass.
