The 6-function on-bike multitool with the bit selection a typical roadside fix actually needs. 4, 5, and 6 mm hex; Torx T25; #1 Phillips; and a 1.0 × 5.0 mm flat screwdriver. The kit for riders whose on-bike work is bolt-tightening and rotor-bolt checks, not chain repair or spoke truing.

The bits fold out in two groups of three, one group at each end of the handle. The T25 is the Torx size for 6-bolt disc-rotor bolts, and the two screwdrivers handle slotted and Phillips screws, which no hex or Torx bit will turn.

Unior designs and produces the EURO6 in Slovenia. The tool spindles are chrome plated and the tips black-oxide coated; Unior specifies that finish for tight tolerance and durability, and uses it across all four EURO models. When the line began shipping in 2017, Bikerumor wrote:

“The same attention to detail that goes into their pro shop tools makes its way into the consumer multi-tools with the same materials and production methods for the tool bits.”

Built in Zreče, Slovenia

Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče since 1919, and sponsors professional road and mountain-bike race teams. Of the four EURO models, the EURO6 is the only one that carries both screwdrivers without a chain or valve tool. It is sized for the rider who wants the on-bike tool but doesn't reach for a chain breaker or a spoke wrench often enough to want to carry one.

Pro tip from our mechanics

Before a long ride, try each bit on the bolts you would need to reach at the roadside. If one of them takes a size the EURO6 lacks, such as a 2, 2.5, 3 or 8 mm hex, carry a tool that has it; the EURO13 runs hex from 2 to 8 mm and adds a chain tool. If a hex key already lives in your saddle bag, the EURO6 brings the T25 and both screwdrivers that a hex-only tool does not have.

FAQ

Which bits are on the EURO6? Six, per the official list for article 1655EURO6-US: hex wrenches in 4, 5 and 6 mm, a TX25 Torx, a PH1 Phillips screwdriver and a 1.0 × 5.0 mm flat screwdriver. The numbered key on the US blister card shows the same six. This model has no chain tool, valve tool or spoke key.

Does the EURO6 have a chain tool? No. The EURO13 and EURO17 are the EURO models that include a chain tool, and both add Schrader and Presta valve tools. The EURO17 also carries spoke keys for 3.3 mm, 3.45 mm and DT nipples. Choose one of those if you want to repair a chain with the multitool itself.

Should I choose the EURO6 or the EURO7? Pick by the bolts on your bike. The EURO7 (1655EURO7-US, 74 g) is hex only, with keys from 1.5 to 6 mm. The EURO6 (89 g) shares the 4, 5 and 6 mm keys, then swaps the four small ones for a T25 Torx and two screwdrivers: PH1 Phillips and 1.0 × 5.0 mm flat.

How much does the EURO6 weigh? Unior lists 89 g for code 625904. The official table gives weight only, so length, width and height are not published, and Unior notes that product images are symbolic and listed dimensions may vary in tolerance. The official product page also shows the Unior lifetime-warranty badge.
