What Bike Tools Do I Need?

New to cycling? Seasoned rider? We've put together a quick list of bike tools to help you either get started in maintenance or help round out your current collection of tools.

Unior offers an amazing assortment of bicycle tools from individual hex wrenches to full work benches, and we're proud to produce nearly everything that bears the Unior name in our own factories within Europe.

At times the expansive range we offer can be a bit overwhelming, so we've narrowed things down just a little to help you sort through it and identify a few essentials.

For the rider on the go

Our EURO multitools are literally a bike shop in your pocket. Unior uses the same shop-quality tool bits in our multitools, giving you a tool that you can rely on whether you're 4 days into your bikepacking trip or in need of a quick repair on your commute to the office.

The EURO13 and EURO17 both feature a chain tool, just in case. The 17 also has spoke wrenches that fit most common spoke nipples.

For something a bit more compact, the EURO6 and EURO7 both forego the chain tool and spoke wrenches in favor of a more limited selection in a smaller size. The 6 is a favorite for rides that don't go too far from home.

For the home or traveling mechanic

Unior's portable repair stands and Pro Kit toolbox are trusted by the mechanics around the world as a high quality, easy to use option for bike service.

Our newest stand is the Pro Road Stand, co-developed with the mechanics at Team INEOS. A fork-mount style stand perfect for road and gravel bikes the Pro Road Stand offers more adjustability at a lighter weight than any other stand on the market.

The Unior Pro Kit is the same toolbox used by most of our sponsored mechanics whether road or mountain. Featuring a European-made case and an assortment of our professional-grade tools, the Pro Kit makes a great foundation for you to build out your perfect bike tool kit. It includes the essentials without weighing you down with tools that you may not need, all while giving you room to customize it as needed.

For the Professional Mechanic

Now we're talking. Where other bike tool companies claim to offer a "bike shop in a box", Unior is the only one able to offer a turnkey service station. From the workbench to the tools to the repair stand, we make it all and we make it ourselves.

Unior's workbench cabinets are completely made in-house alongside our laser-cut foam tool trays. We believe in clean, efficient tool storage and service departments.

New for 2020 is a line of 4 pre-configured workbenches designed to meet the various needs of a service department: bike builds, suspension service, day-to-day repairs, and a head mechanic station. Details coming soon.

Also new for 2020 is our 1693EL Electric-assist Repair Stand. Designed to perform, our innovative repair stand truly is a game changer. It's quieter, smoother, and stronger than the competition. We designed and build these in-house rather than outsourcing the production so we can ensure they're built to the sort of standards synonymous with the Unior name.
