The stand weighs 5.7 kg, its support tubes fold together for transport, and it sets up at the venue without tools. Despite the weight, it carries a 30 kg maximum load, which covers every bike you're realistically traveling with: road, gravel, hardtail, even most aluminum-framed downhill rigs.
This version carries Unior's manually adjustable clamp, which holds tubes from Ø24 to 40 mm: a long screw, turned by hand, sets the jaw opening, and the handle closes the jaw on the tube. The jaws carry replaceable rubber covers (Unior 1693.11); the rubber wears, you replace just the rubber. The height adjusts between 980 mm and 1500 mm.

The BikeGator is the entry into our portable line. The BikeGator+ family (1693AS, 1693A, 1693AQ) takes the same folding frame and adds a tool tray in the box. The new jaw mount and rotation system, the improved sliding system, and the precision aluminum and steel parts are on this BikeGator too. The quick-release version of the base stand is a separate model, the 1693AQ0. For most home and event-mechanic use, this base BikeGator is enough.

Its clamp works the same way as the one on Unior's 1693BS shop stand: the shared instruction manual gives both the hand-turned long screw and the flip-handle release.

How do you clamp a bike in the manually adjustable BikeGator? Set the jaw opening first with the long screw on the clamp, turning it by hand. Then fit the open jaw around the seatpost or a frame tube and turn the handle until the jaw grips firmly. To release, hold the frame with one hand and flip the handle. Unior's manual notes that some bike makers advise against clamping thin-walled carbon frames, so check where your frame maker allows clamping, and clean the tube before you clamp it.
How much floor space does the BikeGator 1693AS0-US take up? Set up, its legs cover 665 mm by 870 mm (dimensions A and B on the drawing in the photo gallery). Working height runs from 980 mm to 1500 mm: release the height lever and slide the top tube to set it. For transport, release the leg lever and push the slider, and the support tubes fold together. The stand itself weighs 5.7 kg.
Is a tool tray or carry bag included with the 1693AS0-US? No. This base BikeGator ships without a tool tray, and Unior sells the 1693.3 tool tray and the 1693BAG carry bag as accessories for it. The tray's two rails slot into holes on the stand's middle clamp. The BikeGator+ models (1693AS-US, 1693A-US and 1693AQ) are the versions with a tray in the box. Replacement rubber jaw covers are Unior 1693.11.
Does the BikeGator qualify for free shipping? No. It is an oversized item, so it ships by UPS at the carrier rate shown at checkout and can only be delivered within the continental United States: not to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses or Canada.
