Most kits cover one of those families well and the others poorly, which is why the bench ends up with two or three boxes stacked on a shelf, each missing something. The Workshop Gold Mineral Oil Master Bleed Kit collapses those three boxes into one. It carries the Shimano flat-bar block, the Shimano drop-bar block, the Magura MT blocks, the brass M5-to-M6 adapter for Tektro and TRP, and the dropbar brass adapter for the Dura-Ace through Tiagra road levers in pre-2026 form.

What's in the kit

The kit's lever-side hardware is a 30 ml transparent funnel with brass M5 thread, paired with a 20 ml Luer-slip funnel for the Magura MT side. The threaded plug is stainless steel with a hanger so the funnel stop sits visibly off-bench during a bleed; the Magura funnel is Luer-slip and needs no plug. The caliper side uses a 20 ml TPX syringe with a long-lasting tube and a stainless-steel insert that guides into the bleed nipple cleanly. The kit also includes brass M5-to-M6 adapter hardware for Tektro / TRP, a brass dropbar adapter for the Shimano road levers, and a Magura M6 brass fitting.

Compatibility

The Master Mineral Oil kit fits every Shimano hydraulic brake from the XTR / XT / Saint / Zee / SLX / Deore / Alivio / Acera / Alfine / Metrea flat-bar range through the pre-2026 drop-bar Dura-Ace / Ultegra / 105 / GRX / Tiagra series. It fits all Magura MT brakes (MT4, MT5, MT7, MT8 and the MT trail variants). It fits all Tektro and TRP hydraulic flat-bar brakes. It does not fit the 2026 Shimano R9300 / R8270 drop-bar levers, which use the new M7 funnel thread; Bleedkit.com's newer Workshop Pro Mineral kit includes the M5-M7 adapter for those levers. The kit is mineral-oil only and will not service SRAM DOT systems or Formula Cura.

The drawer-sort routine that keeps this kit fast on the bench is fluid-type first, then funnel-thread second. Mineral oil stays in one drawer with this kit, the Magura funnel laid alongside it; DOT fluid lives in a different drawer entirely. The contamination boundary that matters most isn't between brands, it's between fluid chemistries; a clean rag between jobs handles the inside-drawer transitions.

FAQ

What else do I need besides this kit? Mineral oil — none of the 18 pieces is a fluid bottle. The kit carries the funnels, syringe, adapters, bleed blocks, and wrenches; the oil is sold separately, and the Gold mineral oil 500 ml refill listed above as the add-on covers every brake this kit services.

It's mineral-oil only, so does it also bleed SRAM Maven or Formula Cura? No. Fluid family and fitting family are separate boundaries. SRAM's mineral-oil brakes (Maven, DB8) bleed through SRAM's own port pattern, and the Formula Cura uses a Cura-specific port — neither matches this kit's M5 funnel thread, Luer-slip Magura funnel, or M6 fittings. This kit covers Shimano, Magura MT, and Tektro / TRP.

Which Shimano drop-bar levers does the brass adapter cover? The included drop-bar adapter serves the pre-2026 Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105, GRX, and Tiagra hydraulic levers, which use the M5 funnel thread. The 2026 R9300 / R8270 generation moved to an M7 thread this kit doesn't carry; Bleedkit.com's newer Workshop Pro Mineral kit includes that M5-M7 adapter.

Which funnel goes with which brake? The 30 ml brass-thread funnel screws into Shimano flat-bar levers directly, reaches the drop-bar levers through the brass drop-bar adapter, and serves Tektro / TRP through the M5-M6 adapter. The 20 ml Luer-slip funnel is for Magura MT levers only. The caliper end is the same 20 ml TPX syringe throughout.
