The Unior Electric Repair Stand 2.0 mounts either directly to a level floor or to the heavy-duty Fixed Plate for 1693EL. The plate is the option that decouples the stand from the floor's flatness; for shops where the floor is concrete but pitched toward a drain, the plate's floor-leveling feet correct the stand's working position back to true vertical, and the stand reads dead-level under load.

What it does

A free-standing electric stand needs its working column dead-vertical for two reasons: the bike clamp holds the bike's centerline against gravity, and the column's internal travel mechanism wants the column normal to the bench's working plane. A concrete floor that's pitched 0.5° toward a drain (which most service-shop floors are, by code) shifts the stand's column off-vertical and works the column's bearing surfaces unevenly over time.

The Fixed Plate for 1693EL solves the leveling problem at the install rather than at the floor pour:

  • Floor-leveling function; adjustable feet on the plate's underside re-true the stand to dead-vertical regardless of the floor's slope.
  • Mounting bolt pattern; sized for the 1693EL stand's base bolt circle.
  • Stable platform; the plate is heavy-duty steel, sized to anchor the stand without floor-mount anchors driven into the concrete itself.

When to add it

Two install scenarios where the fixed plate is the right choice:

  1. Service-shop floor with a code-required drain slope. Most service-bay floors slope 0.25″–0.5″ per foot toward a drain (US code) or have a similar metric-spec slope. The fixed plate re-trues the stand without touching the slope.
  2. Lease-floor install where drilling into the concrete is not allowed. The plate sits on the floor surface, gets weighted with the stand and a bike, and stays put without floor anchors.

For shops on a level floor with concrete-drilling permission, mounting the 1693EL directly to the floor is the lower-cost path; the plate becomes optional.

Specs

  • Compatibility: Unior Electric Repair Stand 2.0 (SKU 629761) and the prior-generation Fixed Plate Electric Repair Stand 1693EL.
  • Plate dimensions: 740 × 740 × 12 mm.
  • Plate-only mass: ~45 kg.
  • Leveling: floor-leveling feet for uneven-floor compensation.
  • Mount: bolt-pattern sized for the 1693EL base.

Required for: complete floor-mount install of the Electric Repair Stand 2.0 when direct-to-concrete mounting is not the chosen path. Without either the plate or a floor anchor, the stand has no stable base.

Built in Zreče, Slovenia

Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. The Fixed Plate is part of the same in-house manufacturing line as the Electric Repair Stand 2.0; the steel stock is finished to match the workshop-black powder coat on the stand, and the plate's leveling feet share the workshop-grade thread tolerance the rest of Unior's stand accessories carry.

Pro tip from our mechanics

The plate-vs-floor-anchor decision usually comes down to permission, not preference. Owner-occupied shops typically drill the floor and skip the plate; leased shops typically buy the plate. The plate also has the side benefit of being relocatable; if the bench layout changes a year into the install, the plate moves with the stand and the slab stays untouched. Buyers still deciding whether the electric stand itself is the right call should read the buying guide first; the plate is a downstream install decision: How to choose a bike repair stand →
