Professional Mechanic Tool Carriage
Professional Mechanic Tool Carriage
A rolling tool cabinet is at its most useful in three places: the satellite repair zone in a multi-mechanic shop, the show-and-event circuit where a bike brand demos a build, and the small shop that hasn’t committed to a fixed bench yet. The Unior Professional Mechanic Tool Carriage covers all three at once: seven precision-cut foam-tray drawers, an 800 mm rolling footprint, and the seven 1600SOS21-27 trays included; the same tray-system Unior uses across the bench and carriage line.
What’s loaded in the drawers
The Professional Mechanic Tool Carriage ships pre-loaded with the seven foam trays sized for everyday workshop service:
- General Maintenance (1600SOS27); comprehensive hand-tool selection for routine maintenance.
- Bottom Bracket and Crankset (1600SOS26); BB tools and crankset service.
- Drivetrain Maintenance (1600SOS25); drivetrain-specific tools.
- Wheel Tools (1600SOS24); cone wrench tray.
- General Maintenance (1600SOS23); advanced hand-tool set, precision work.
- General Maintenance (1600SOS22); advanced hand-tool set with pliers.
- General Maintenance (1600SOS21); advanced hand-tool set with hammer and Hanger Genie.
Each foam tray is laser-cut to the silhouette of the tool it holds, so a missing tool reads as foam; not as a hopeful search through other drawers.

Professional Mechanic Tool Carriage vs. the Eurostyle and Hercules
This carriage ships with the seven trays loaded and is the complete-kit mobile cabinet. The Eurostyle 940E4/1L is the same drawer system at a slightly smaller (760 mm) footprint and ships without trays; buy the trays you need. The Hercules 940H2 doubles the static load capacity (2300 kg) and includes a lower cabinet section instead of a bottom drawer pair; the heavy-load mobile-cabinet variant.
Built in Zreče, Slovenia
Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče, Slovenia, since 1919, and is the official technical partner of multiple World Tour and downhill teams. The carriage and the foam trays come out of the same in-house manufacturing chain: cabinet bodies stamped from Premium PLUS sheet metal at the Zreče works, foam inserts cut to the silhouettes of tools the same factory ships.
Pro tip from our mechanics
A complete-kit carriage like this one is the right choice when the alternative is buying ten individual tools and a rolling cabinet to put them in. The decision tree is: if you’re building up to a full mechanic’s catalog from scratch, the loaded carriage compresses the decision into one purchase. If you already own the tools, the empty Eurostyle is the better cabinet shell.
