Let’s say you’ve got a cache of 1/4″ hex shank bits, as most of us do. Let’s then say you’d like to use one of those bits with your ratchet or our Pro Socket Handle. Obviously a 1/4″ hex shank tool is not going to be compatible with a 1/4″ square drive ratchet. Enter our 188.9 Bit Adapter. Simply attach one end to your ratchet and the other to your bit and presto, you’re back to work.
The adapter is made of chrome vanadium steel that’s been drop forged, hardened, and tempered. It includes a spring-loaded ball on the hex bit end to help keep that bit in place.
Under no circumstances should you use this with an impact tool.
