Most home bike shops accumulate sockets and bits over years, ending up with redundant sizes in some places and gaps in others. The 1782 set is the one-purchase answer to that problem: a curated mix of 1/4-drive and 3/8-drive sockets, plus hex and Torx bits in the sizes a bike shop actually uses, plus the drive-square adapters that let everything run off any ratchet. What's in the set
Smaller sockets and bits are 1/4-drive; the larger sockets are 3/8-drive. This split matches the torque ranges:
- 1/4-drive section: sockets, hex bits, and Torx bits for the low-torque fasteners on a modern bike (stem bolts, derailleur bolts, brake-caliper mount bolts, rotor bolts).
- 3/8-drive section: larger sockets for the higher-torque fasteners (pedal-axle nuts, crank-arm bolts, lockring work).
Two drive-square adapters are included: one that mounts 1/4-drive sockets onto a 3/8-drive ratchet, and one that mounts 3/8-drive sockets onto a 1/4-drive ratchet (within reason, for lower-torque work). The adapters mean the set works with whichever ratchet handle you already own.
Every piece in the set works on either a ratchet handle or a torque wrench, which means you can rough-fit a fastener with a ratchet and final-torque with a calibrated wrench using the same bit or socket.
What's actually in the tray
The set is arranged in the laser-cut SOS foam tray, which gives every tool its place. When something is missing, the empty cutout tells you immediately. The tray sits in a workbench drawer or stacks with the rest of the Unior SOS-tray ecosystem.
When this is the right purchase

Pairing with the torque wrench
Pair the 1782 set with the 2-24 Nm Slipper Torque Wrench for low-torque work (rotor bolts, derailleur bolts, stem bolts) and the 5-110 Nm Slipper Torque Wrench for higher-torque work (pedal axles, crank-arm bolts, lockrings). The drive adapters mean every bit in the tray can move between the torque wrench and a normal ratchet handle.
