Pro Kit Tool Case 2.0

The Pro Kit Tool Case 2.0 is the case half of the current-generation Pro Kit 2.0, sold separately for mechanics who already own a tool inventory and want to migrate it into a kit-grade storage system. The case carries a full mobile race-team service spread, with the same hangout pallet and lid pockets the configured Pro Kit 2.0 ships with.

The case is designed especially for bike tools, made of heavy-duty plastic, waterproof and dustproof.

What the case carries

• Hangout pallet: hooks to the front of the case so the most-used tools stay at hand during work. 9 pockets sized to carry everything from pliers to open-end wrenches.
• Lid: flaps close with Velcro straps; pockets inside the flaps are sized to specific tools. Biggest pockets accept T-handle hexes up to size 10; small-tool pockets accept L-keys down to 1.5 mm. 35 individual lid pockets in total.
• Base: an open composite well with room for larger tools. The 2.0 case dropped the old-generation aluminum divider; the two SOS foam trays that sit here in the configured Pro Kit 2.0 are not part of this empty case.

The 2.0 case is the right answer when the workshop is standardizing on the current generation, or when a previous-generation Pro Kit Tool Case (970PROKIT) has finally given out. The 2.0 is a new mold at 460 × 320 × 180 mm and 4.2 kg empty, without the old-generation aluminum divider. The hangout pallet and IP67 rating were already on the previous case; lid and pallet pocket counts are unchanged.

FAQ

Does the Pro Kit Tool Case 2.0 come with any tools? No. It is the empty-case half of the Pro Kit 2.0, sold without tools. In the box you get the IP67 composite shell, the 9-pocket hangout pallet that hooks to the front, and the 35-pocket lid (two Velcro-strap flaps plus the inner lid). Tools are sold separately, or as the configured Pro Kit 2.0.

Is this the same case that comes with the Pro Kit 2.0? Yes. It is the same article (970PROKIT, code 640064) listed as a line item under the factory-configured Pro Kit 2.0. The configured kit adds 55 tools and two custom SOS foam trays in the base; those trays are described on the kit page, not on this empty-case page, and the official case photo shows an open well.

What changed from the previous Pro Kit Tool Case? The 2.0 is a new mold: 460 × 320 × 180 mm and 4.2 kg empty, versus 464 × 366 × 176 mm and 4.53 kg on the previous case (code 627041). The aluminum bottom divider is gone. The hangout pallet, 35 lid pockets, and IP67 rating were already on the previous case.

How protective is the case in transport? The shell is rated IP67 dustproof and waterproof, with a watertight lid seal and an automatic pressure-release valve. Double-throw latches keep it shut, the handle is load-tested soft-grip, and the lid carries molded holes for a shoulder strap (strap not included).
