Bike Tool Set In SOS Tool Tray

A bent derailleur hanger and a seized cable are the two jobs most likely to interrupt a build that was otherwise going fine. Neither needs a big tool inventory; both need the right four or five tools within arm's reach. The Unior 1600SOS13-US is the smallest tray in the legacy SOS series, and it is built around exactly that: hanger alignment, cable tensioning, and the hex sizes those two jobs actually use.

What's in the tray

• Hanger genie hanger alignment tool (1602/2); the original Hanger Genie, for checking and correcting derailleur-hanger alignment on the bike.
• Cable puller pliers with lock (1642.1/2P); grips the cable end and holds tension while you torque the pinch bolt, so the third hand you don't have isn't the limiting factor.
• T-handle ball-end hex wrench, 3 mm (193HXS-US); ball end for the angled approach that derailleur and lever hardware usually forces.
• T-handle ball-end hex wrench, 4 mm.
• T-handle ball-end hex wrench, 5 mm.
• Dead blow hammer (819A-US, 45 mm); non-marring impact for a seated part that needs persuading but not punishing.

Six tools, each in its own laser-cut foam silhouette. That is the whole tray; it is deliberately not a general-purpose drawer.

Where the 1600SOS13-US fits in the system

The 1600SOS13-US is the entry point to the legacy Unior SOS tray series, which runs 1600SOS13 through 1600SOS19 and divides a workshop's tool inventory by service category rather than by tool type. The companion trays:

Compatibility

This is a drop-in foam tray insert, not a cabinet. It suits any workbench drawer or tool carriage with a full-width slot deep enough to take a 30 mm foam insert. Measure the drawer's clear internal dimensions before ordering; the SOS system's standard tray footprint is 564 × 364 × 30 mm.

Unior has been forging hand tools in Zreče since 1919, and sponsors professional road and mountain-bike race teams. The foam inserts and the tools that sit in them come out of the same in-house manufacturing chain, which is why the silhouette match is exact; a missing tool reads as an empty shape rather than as a hopeful search through the rest of the bench.
