Bike Tool Set In SOS Tool Tray

Most of a bike is metric hex and Torx, right up until it isn't. Brake mounts, older bottom bracket hardware, rack and fender fittings, trailer hitches and e-bike motor mounts still run open-end and box-end sizes, and a shop without a full combination wrench run ends up improvising with an adjustable. The Unior 1600SOS14-US carries the whole 6 mm to 18 mm span plus the pliers and measuring tools that go with general shop work.

What's in the tray

Combination wrenches, long type; a complete single-step run with no gaps:

• 6 mm, 7 mm, 8 mm, 9 mm, 10 mm, 11 mm, 12 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 15 mm, 16 mm, 17 mm and 18 mm, one of each.

Pliers and cutters:

• Combination pliers (406/1VDEBI, 160 mm); insulated VDE handles.
• Waterpump box joint pliers (449/1PYTHON-US, 240 mm); box-joint adjustment for the large, round and awkward.
• Plastic jaw for 449/1PYTHON (449.1, 240 mm); slips over the waterpump jaws so they can grip a finished surface without scarring it.
• Long nose pliers with side cutter (506/1VDEBI, 140 mm).
• Diagonal cutting nippers (461/1VDEBI, 160 mm).
• Cable housing cutters (584/4BI-US, 180 mm); a clean square cut through housing and its liner.

Measuring:

• Measuring tape (710R-US, 3 m).
• Digital calliper (270A, 0–150 mm).
• SOS tool tray shell for 1600SOS14 (629200, 564 × 364 × 30 mm).

This is the general-purpose tray in the legacy 1600SOS13–19 series; the one that gets opened by every job rather than by one service category. Its companions specialise:

Compatibility

The tray shell measures 564 × 364 × 30 mm, the standard Unior SOS tray footprint, and is available separately as part 629200 if the foam ever needs replacing. Confirm your drawer's clear internal width and depth before ordering.

Pro tip from our mechanics

The plastic jaw for the waterpump pliers is the item most likely to be left in a parts bin and forgotten.
